₹3 crore worth of Xiaomi phones stolen from container on Delhi-Bengaluru route, driver absconds

A theft involving mobile phones worth ₹3 crore occurred during the transport of a container from Delhi to Bengaluru. The container, which was carrying Xiaomi smartphones, was scheduled for delivery on November 22 but failed to arrive at its destination in Bengaluru. The shipment was under the responsibility of Sap Speed Carrier Pvt. Ltd., a logistics company handling the transportation.

The container, which had departed from Delhi, was tracked via GPS to the Reddy Gollahalli area near Chikkaballapur district, Karnataka. Upon further investigation, authorities found the container abandoned along the highway. When the container was opened, it was discovered to be empty, with all the mobile phones missing. The GPS data indicated the container had stopped in the area before the theft occurred, but the specific time and circumstances of the theft have not been disclosed.

After the discovery of the theft, the logistics company informed local law enforcement authorities, who immediately responded to the scene. The empty container was seized by the police, and an investigation was launched. The driver of the container, who was last seen with the shipment, has not been located and is currently the primary focus of the investigation.

The police have initiated efforts to locate the missing driver and are reviewing surveillance footage from the area surrounding the location where the container was found. In addition, the police are analyzing the GPS data and tracking logs of the container for any further clues. Law enforcement officials have confirmed that the driver is missing and are treating this as a key part of the investigation.

The case is ongoing, with police focusing on tracing the driver and recovering the stolen goods. There have been no arrests made as of yet. The logistics company is fully cooperating with the authorities to assist in the investigation. The specific method used to steal the phones remains under investigation, and no further details have been provided by the police regarding the circumstances of the theft.
